Professional Photography in Aberdeen | About

Hi, I'm Scott, a Professional Photographer from Aberdeen, Scotland.

I'm a professional photographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland. I soon hope to be providing you with Professional Photography services in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland or further afield. My portfolio consists of wedding photography, sports photography, commercial photography, and editorial photography. I've gained my experience working with agencies, newspapers, Aberdeen Football Club and eventually becoming freelance.

If you choose to work with me you'll get a seasoned photographer with a background in a wide range of photographic styles.

I love dealing with light. The aspect of photography that I love the most is the simple fact that I'm capturing special moments in time. I work in a documentary style as I feel this captures the atmosphere of the occasion as well as the individual moments. If I'm spending the day at your wedding then I want to make sure you get not only beautiful photographs to remember the day,  but photographs that tell the story of how that day felt. Obviously this applies to any occasion I'm photographing, I'll get the photograph that tells the story of the day, or the images to make your brand, or team, stand out from the rest.

Amassing a Commercial and Editorial client list including Aberdeen Football Club, The Press & Journal, The Times, Getty Images, Quartzelec UK, Aberdeen FC Community Trust.

I'm equally comfortable lighting portraits on location for features and cover stories, or private commissions.

What makes a good photograph...

A photograph that will get the attention of someone and stop them in their stride, make them read an article, investigate a topic further. Remember a moment like it was only yesterday. An image that will sell a magazine or editorial, one that doesn't necessarily have to make you think, but take interest and look at the photograph again, and again, and again.

I love my job, if I can call it a job. Photography (somewhat obvious), Rowies (not butteries, obviously), BrewDog, Glenmorangie, Scotland, movies! Mad Max: Fury Road, Blade Runner 2049, Terminator 2, and the typical Scottish cold weather. I love Aberdeen, and it's legendary football team... Don't hold that against me.
