Commercial photography with Aberdeen FC. I’ve been busy this month.
The brief was to bring together generations of fans who have supported Aberdeen Football Club and for images to be taken and used in a new membership campaign called AberDNA. Supporters who sign-up to the new AberDNA Membership will receive a host of fantastic benefits including a discount on their season ticket for the 2018/19 season, as well as the opportunity to help shape the future of the club.
A particular style was requested after meeting with the media team. In this case “low key” – Which results in a dramatic effect predominantly with dark tones with a light source(s) illuminating the subject. I used various grids with the odd movement of the light source to accommodate for the size and stance of the fans. I decided to stick with edge lighting which gives the desired effect for the brief with a few extra surprises thrown in, because we all love a bit of variety, don’t we?
Now that the membership has been officially released, I can share a small selection of the images I have captured for the club.
These were taken on location at Pittodrie Stadium with my portable studio setup.
